Yesterday DPPD swore in their newest police officer, Officer Parman. Congratulations!
Yesterday, we held a swearing in ceremony for our newest police officer, Dustin Parman. Dustin graduated from the College of the Mainland Police Academy on May 25th, taking top academic honor and sharing in the top marksmanship honor. The ceremony was attended by the City Manager Jay Stokes, Councilwoman Sherry Garrison, Councilman Tommy Ginn, several city department directors, police chaplains, coworkers, family and friends. After Chief Grigg explained the weight of the oath that Dustin was about to take, his mother pinned his badge. Be on the lookout for him in the future as he hits the street with his FTO. We are very happy to have him! Chief Grigg also recognized our new Public Safety Attendant, Wyatt Hail, and our new part-time animal shelter assistant, Linda Dixon. We are happy to have them as well!
