Wow! Jhanet Diehl with Burnett Elementary, Congratulations and thanks! What a story.
Congratulations are in order at Burnett Elementary.
Jhanet Diehl, Burnett Elementary instructional bilingual aide, received a Certificate of Extraordinary Personal Action from the American Red Cross.
Diehl was recognized for her swift action when a student was reported to be choking. Her assessment noted he had a cracker lodged in his throat. She got the child to drink water, softened up the cracker and it dislodged.
Several Houston area TV stations joined the American Red Cross at the award presentation this morning!
