This is how the preacher looks at me when I tell jokes. What's up Buttercup?
Lack of holiday cheer aside, she is actually the sweetest girl. Calm and gentle in a way that steals your heart right away.
We don’t know her story, but we can’t imagine it had been the best one. She trembles almost non-stop, and when you first touch her, it visibly startles her.
But after a couple of minutes, she’s leaning up against your legs and pressing against your back, like she wishes she could climb into your lap.
She loves soft beds. The second we put one out, she curled up into it and sighed with the happiest look on her face. (Picture the exact opposite of her reindeer antler face. 🤣)
She has done well with other dogs that she’s met. She hasn’t shown much interest in treats or toys, but that might be because the environment here stresses her out. She needs a place with a soft bed and a little bit more calm.
If you can help with that, she’d love to meet you. Come by and ask for our gentle giant, four-year-old Buttercup (A160829).
