The Pasadena Food Drive collected 42 tons of food and $24,000 in cash.
Thank you, Pasadena! The Pasadena Food Drive was held last week, and we collected more than 84,000 lbs. of food and nearly $24,000 in monetary donations. Every bit of that goes to food pantries and non-profit organizations right here in Pasadena and helps feed families in our community.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this event! As always, we are blown away by the generosity and support of you all!
A huge thank you also to our sponsors, including Albemarle, The Glassell Family Foundation, Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, Waste Management and many others!
Thank you to the Salvation Army for providing our shirts. Thank you to Chick-fil-A, Whataburger, Pipeline Pizza and Starbucks for donating food and drinks to feed our volunteers for three days!
Thank you, Pasadena Independent School District, for partnering with us again and for the incredible amount of food your students, staff and administrators collected! Thank you to the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce for your continued partnership and support of this event every step of the way! Thank you to all of the city departments, the businesses, groups, churches, community organizations and individuals who participated and made this event possible.
And last, but never least, thank you to the 186 volunteers who spent hours on their feet, sorting and packing tens of thousands of pounds of food. We could not do this without you!
