The CTHS Visual and Performing Arts Club students have their huge butterfly wings installed at Holly Bay Park π¦
So proud of the CTHS Visual and Performing Arts Club students! Their community service project turned out amazing! The district partnered with HEB and Pasadena Parks & Recβ¦ Each high school chose a type of butterfly (we chose a Painted Lady) and painted a set of HUGE (about 8β tall) wings. The parks department took the wings and installed them in different local parks. People can stand in the center for a photo! Ours are proudly displayed at Holly Bay Park (at the end of Crenshaw.) Keep in mind, these came to us as 8β sheets of unfinished plywood. The girls who worked on them sanded, designed, cut, edged and painted the wings. Kudos to our art teachers Ms. Patrisso and Mrs. Anders for leading the project.
