The animal shelter Graduating Class of 2022, Most Handsome, Toons.
This member of our graduating class is Toons, and he's one you can't help but root for. His official "class" title is Most Handsome (for obvious reasons 😍) but if there was a title called Mr. Always So Close, we might have had to go with that one.
So often, when people are adopting and they've narrowed their choices down to two dogs, Toons is the guy that ends up being second choice. It's happened time and time again.
He did have an application on him that was completely finished and ready to go...and then the people never came to get him.
And until very recently, he was in a section of the shelter that is offset from the rest of the kennels, so visitors often don't know that they are allowed to go in there, meaning that Toons didn't get seen as much.
The odds just never seem to be in his favor.
It seems like he's starting to feel it too. He's not quite as perky or playful lately. It's like he's start to expect to get passed by.
We're ready for it to be his turn. He has been here for 130 days, and he is more than ready to graduate into a loving home. He's a sweet, loving guy who loves to play and especially loves fetch. We gave him a bath today, and you would've thought he won the doggie lottery. It's the happiest we've seen him in ages.
Please, someone make this guy your first choice and show him what it feels like to be wanted and loved. Come by and ask for Toons (A157680), the three-year-old Lab mix.
