QUOTE: "Heads up to anyone in the Southmore & Shaver area (by PeMex). Silver Convertible Mustang with possible license plate PBY 2863 (couldn't get better pictures from video). 2 men inside, I could only see the driver's profile which looked to be heavy set Hispanic guy with a thin trimmed beard and short hair.
They were parked 2 houses down from ours on the other side of the street with lights on. I noticed them and motioned to my wife as we walked and almost instantly they slowly creep by and made a left turn at the next intersection. Of course this felt really off and didn't sit right. We have cars park on our street often, but we more or less know who they are or they usually don't act this sketchy. So, I got in my truck to circle the block because their actions were too off. Sure enough they had made almost a full circle and were at the corner before turning to where they were originally parked. As soon as they saw my truck they started speeding off. At this point, this is a bit too obvious and that's when I decided to try and get their plates to report to the cops.
Out of curiosity I went to our cameras to see if I could see how long they had been parked there. They were just out of view, but that just means I need more cameras.
The real chilling and unsettling part came when I decided to go back and review my motion notifications from the night before. The exact same Mustang is seen coming down the street, making a stop in front of our house, and slowly driving away. Now, I understand jumping to conclusions is a bad thing, but this behavior is very suspicious. We are now going to be more alert when coming home, while at home, and share this with others to hopefully help them avoid being victimized. I doubt we're the only house and cars they are looking at.
We've already made a police report. With all the different things you see on the news lately. It's best to be on high alert. Even in your own home. Unfortunately.
