Remembering Wanda McFarland. RIP 🙏🏻

More than 20 years ago, Wanda was the recipient of what is now known as the City of Pasadena’s Team up to Clean up project where volunteers from the police department and the city removed debris from her backyard. She was so grateful that she continuously asked how she could give back. It wasn’t long after that she was selected to attend our Citizen’s Police Academy and is a graduate of Class 11. Following her graduation, she became an active member of the Alumni Association, volunteering in various police events throughout the years. She attended many events for the police department and was always willing to do more. In addition to her work with the Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association, she has volunteered in our Crime Scene Unit for the past ten years, scanning fingerprint cards into a database.

She brought joy to many and will truly be missed – may she rest in peace."
