Recent increases in auto/pedestrian collisions PPD would like to remind pedestrians to always use sidewalks and crosswalks where provided. Wait there's more. 👮
Due to a recent increase in auto/pedestrian collisions, we want to remind everyone that pedestrians should always use sidewalks and crosswalks where provided. If possible, try not to walk alongside or cross major roadways during nighttime hours when a driver’s visibility may be diminished. If you must cross the roadway at night, use an illuminated crosswalk area and look both ways continuously until it is safe to cross. Wearing reflective clothing or shoes is also a great way to ensure you are more visible to motorists. When in doubt, it is always better to wait a few extra minutes before crossing to alleviate the risk of being struck.
