Precinct 8 Public Release: Today around 11am precinct 8 was dispatched to a major accident northbound in the 100 block of the E Sam Houston Tollway N. A 17 year old was Life Flighted in critical condition. 🙏

Earlier today, at approximately 11:05 AM, Deputies with Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office were dispatched to a major accident northbound in the 100 block of the E Sam Houston Twy N. Preliminary investigation suggests the white Honda Accord lost control and struck the outside retaining wall. Upon reentry to the main travel lanes, the vehicle was struck by a charter bus sending the vehicle into a spin where it crashed with the inside retaining wall. A 17 year old passenger in the vehicle was flown via Life Flight to Memorial Herman Hospital in critical condition.
Members of the Precinct 8 Crash Reconstruction Team began conducting an on-scene investigation into the cause of the accident and the roadway was closed to northbound traffic until approximately 1:09 PM. The investigation into this accident is ongoing.
