Precinct 8 Deputy Brinkley stopped another warrant carrying 🤡 in a high speed chase.
WANTED SUBJECT LEADS DEPUTY ON PURSUIT
On Monday, April 3, 2023 at approximately 8:30 AM, Deputy Brinkley with Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office observed a silver Chevrolet Camaro traveling eastbound in the 1000 block of Edgebrook Dr. A check of the vehicle’s registration showed to be expired as of September 2021.
Deputy Brinkley activated his emergency lights and attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Rodney St. The vehicle failed to stop and continued to travel southbound, passing several safe locations to stop. The vehicle ultimately pulled over into a residence on Hinds St. Deputy Brinkley made contact with the driver of the vehicle and identified him as 23 year old Rolando Cabello. A check of Cabello’s information revealed he had an open out-of-state warrant through Lake County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana and two open warrants through Harris County Sheriff’s Office for Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Carry of Weapon.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted additional charges for Evading Arrest/Detention in Vehicle. Cabello was transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center where his bond was set at $10,000.
