Precinct 8 deputies seized narcotics and methamphetamine from middle-aged 🤡 off Bay Area.
MALE ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS On Thursday, June 8, 2023 at approximately 1:55 PM, Precinct 8 Deputies were conducting narcotic interdiction when Deputy A. Peters observed suspicious activity in the 500 block of Bay Area Blvd involving a pedestrian and an occupied parked vehicle. Deputy Peters made contact with all parties and identified the driver as 47 year old Richard Christopher Ellis. Through further investigation, Deputy Peters learned there was marijuana inside the vehicle. Deputies conducted a probable cause based search of the vehicle and located 17.48 grams of Adderall and drug paraphernalia. Deputies further located a tumbler containing water, a meth pipe and a substance believed to be methamphetamine. It appeared the substance was placed in the container in attempt to destroy the contraband. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted felony charges for Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver. Ellis was taken into custody and transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center for booking. His bond has been set at $10,000.
