PPD's Assistant Chief of Police Rick Styron has retired after 41+ years with the department. Congratulations!
Please join us in congratulating Assistant Chief of Police Rick Styron on his recent retirement from our department. Rick has served our department for more than 41 years. During his tenure, he was promoted up through the ranks to Assistant Chief of Police - a position he has held for the past five years. As he progressed through the ranks, he spent time working in patrol, various investigative positions, and in an administrative capacity. He has remained steadfast in his commitment to serving our community with compassion throughout the years, and he is known for his friendly and composed demeanor. He was once asked what he loved most about being a police officer, and he said that he loved serving our community and helping people, whether it be a citizen or a colleague. While he is beginning a new chapter in his life and will be missed, he will always be a part of our police family. Congratulations, Rick, and we wish you well in all your future endeavors!
