PPD officers attended the 34th annual Candlelight Vigil and the National Peace Officers Memorial Service this past week.
This past week, officers with the Pasadena Police Department attended the 34th annual Candlelight Vigil and the National Peace Officer's Memorial Service hosted by the National Fraternal Order of Police. This year, Detective Pedro J. Mejia's family and colleagues were in Washington D.C. to honor him and the ultimate sacrifice he made in his service to our community. His name was officially engraved on the National Law Enforcement Memorial Wall at Judiciary Square, joining the many other names of peace officers who have died while serving others.
