PPD night shift officers busted some clowns stealing catalytic converters June 28th off Southmore. 👊
We want to take this opportunity to highlight a collaborative effort by our night shift officers.
On Tuesday, June 28, 2022, our officers were dispatched to the apartment complex at 2401 Southmore at around 3 A.M. to investigate a catalytic converter theft in progress. The victim advised us that a red sedan was seen leaving immediately after he heard the suspect(s) sawing off the converter. Our officers began combing the area looking for a vehicle that matched the description. One of our night shift sergeants located the suspect's car and arrested the suspects for warrants. Six catalytic converters were discovered in the vehicle, some of which belonged to the original victim. The suspects were later charged with the catalytic converter theft, and the devices were returned to the victim.
