Power out at the Animal Shelter this morning had no scared effects on Rachel smiles when she got out for selfies 😁
And then we got Rachel out, and suddenly, it felt like the brightest, most sunshiny day. ☀️
This sweet girl is a joy to be around. She came bouncing out of her kennel and was all wiggly happiness the entire time she was with us.
She wasn’t jumping up on people or bouncing-off-the-walls energetic; she was just happy. That little tail of hers never stopped wagging, and she had that same happy grin the entire time.
She loves treats. When she sees them, she will promptly sit. Granted, she gets so happy and excited about the prospect of getting one that she can only hold the sit for about two seconds 😁 but she definitely knows the command.
She also loves playing fetch. Even when she gets tired — which didn’t take long — she still loves to carry the ball around with her.
But what she loves more than anything are back scratches.
If you go to pet her, she will maneuver herself, so that you end up scratching her back, and then she closes her eyes about halfway, and you can just tell you’ve made her whole day.
She was named for a Friends character, and that’s fitting because we think she might just be one of the best friends you could ever have. If you think so too, come by and meet her today! Ask for Rachel (A161358) when you stop in.
