PISD was #1 fundraising team in 2020 for the Houston Susan G. Komen organization. By the end of the month they will be playing We Are The Champions on the loud speaker.
In observance of breast cancer awareness month, Pasadena ISD once again hosted a t-shirt fundraising campaign in support of the Greater Houston Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure organization.
The district, named the No. 1 fundraising team in Greater Houston in 2020, sold 4,000 PISD Komen t-shirts and continues to promote Passionately Pink Thursdays, an incentive program that allows employees to wear jeans with their Komen shirts by making a $5 contribution. The shirts feature a new design each year honoring staff who are breast cancer survivors as well as those who have succumbed to the disease.
Pasadena ISD Komen organizers will announce how much has been raised this year for the cause at the end of the month.
