We want to congratulate Officer Lisa Kling on her retirement after 20 years of dedicated service to our community and the Pasadena Police Department. Lisa began her law enforcement career in 1996 with Harris County PCT 8 Constable's Office and Pearland Police Department before leaving law enforcement temporarily for a career in Information Technology. During this time, she was a network administrator for an answering service and a trucking company.

Having missed law enforcement, she applied with the Pasadena Police Department in 2002. graduated first in her class from the 53rd Academy class and was also elected as the class president.

Lisa spent most of her career on night shift patrol; during this time, she was a Field Training Officer, a member of the DWI Task Force, and certified as a DRE and breath test operator.

In 2014 she became a Detective and was assigned to the Juvenile Division, where she investigated cases involving child abuse and sex abuse and was designated as the Sex Offender coordinator for the agency. In addition, Lisa conducted forensic cell phone examinations and extractions, which assisted other investigative divisions with major cases.

Lisa was most recently assigned to the Data Services division, where she was primarily responsible for maintaining, repairing, and providing training for the in-car video and body camera systems. It was here that her interest and previous experience in IT assisted her in being successful in this assignment.

Congratulations, Lisa, on your much-deserved retirement, and we wish you the best as you begin the next chapter in your life.
