Officer Garza organized the 7th Annual Backpack Giveaway with 120 backpacks packed full last Saturday 🎒
It’s that time of year again when kids are returning to school, gathering school supplies, and excited for what the year may bring.
On Saturday, August 13, 2022 Officer Garza organized the 7th Annual Backpack Giveaway. This year, he was again joined by fellow officers, members of the Pasadena City Council, local businesses, and community members to donate 120 backpacks full of supplies and provide door prizes for local school children.
We want to extend our gratitude to Officer Garza, Officer K. Robertson, members of the Community Services Division, Councilmen Thomas Schoenbien, Councilman Orlando Ybarra, Councilman Jonathan Estrada, Councilwoman Bianca Valerio, former Councilman Bruce Leamon, Chief Josh Bruegger, and Sergeant Craig Hamilton for their continued support of this program.
We want to also convey our gratitude to David Tong, director of the BP Foundation, Action Towing, Wal-Mart (1107 Shaver), Starbucks (Beltway 8 @ Spencer Highway), Chevron Pasadena Refinery, and Mr. & Mrs. Realty (Joe and Valerie Reyes), for their participation and generous donations.
