Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968)
Martin Luther King Jr. was an American clergyman and civil rights activist who is remembered as being one of the most influential moral voices of the civil rights movement. King once said, “I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear. Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend. We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the same boat now.”
Today as we celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr., we remember his fight for freedom, equality, and dignity of all races and people, and we remember his message of love.
