Jewel and her bud were saved by the shelter due to animal cruelty and her bud found a home. That's the good part. The sad part is Jewel still needs a home bigly from anyone with room in their ❤️
She hasn’t had an easy life. She came to us as part of an abandonment/cruelty case after she was left in a crate in the back of a truck without food or water.
And now, she isn’t having the easiest time at the shelter.
The friend she came in with was adopted, leaving Jewel alone. She’s been with us for quite some time, and the stress of that is starting to affect her.
She’s developed a skin infection, which we are treating, and has a small cut on her face from trying to get away from the noise and stress of her kennel.
But when you take her out, she shines like the Jewel she is.
She’s a sweet, gentle soul. She loves her walks and has a playful side, but usually, she just wants to be with you. When she rode in the car, she fell asleep within minutes, probably because she was grateful to have a quiet, soft place to rest.
We see all of her potential — now, we need someone else to see it too. If you can help Jewel by giving her a home (either foster or forever), please let us know. Ask for Jewel (A159758) when you come by.
