Have a happy a retirement Deputy Hunt!!! Much appreciated!
Constable Sandlin hosted a retirement ceremony this afternoon for Precinct 8 Deputy Robert Hunt. Deputy Hunt began his career with Harris County in 1991 when he joined the Sheriff’s Office as a civilian jailer. He graduated the Sheriff’s academy in 1993 as a member of Class B293 and served as a Deputy with the HCSO until joining Precinct 8 in 1995. In the 26 years since, Deputy Hunt has served in our District Patrol Division, Toll Road Patrol Division, Civil Division and most recently, our Criminal Warrant Division. He officially retired on December 31, 2021. Today, he was joined by family, friends and co-workers as Constable Sandlin presented him with a retirement plaque and shadow box in recognition of his contribution to our mission over the years. He then signed off on the radio for the last time.
We thank Deputy Hunt for his nearly 31 years of service to the citizens of Harris County! Enjoy your retirement, Robert!
