Five dollar adoptable Shirley has been in the pokey too long at 128 days and still positive you are coming. Her baby found a home about 4 months ago.
She trotted from one side of our lobby to the other, playfully ducking around furniture and then looking so proud of herself when she “found” us on the other side.
It’s starting to seem like she’s been playing a game of hide-and-seek during her time at the shelter too, and she’s just been doing too good of a job at the whole staying hidden thing.
How else could a girl this beautiful still be here after 128 days?
She originally came in with her puppy, a cutie that was her mini-me. The puppy got adopted quickly, but Shirley, apparently, was hidden because she stayed…and stayed and stayed.
This sweet girl has done well meeting other dogs. She’s friendly. She’s big but gentle. She’s a good balance of playful and loving. She’s all the things that so many people are seeking.
So let’s not let her stay hidden anymore. Please help us find her a home. Share her story. And if you can foster or adopt, please come by and be the one that finally finds her. Ask for two-and-a-half-year-old Shirley (A159216).
