Fairmont Library is getting a mural by artist Elijah Minton and it's interesting how he does it.
The wall near the children's area at Fairmont Library is beginning to look very different! New Jersey artist Elijah Minton began painting a mural on Friday night, first creating a doodle grid (the yellow shapes) to use as reference points by taking a picture of the grid and overlaying an image of the mural with an astronaut theme on his phone to refer to while he paints. He is painting after hours this weekend. The mural, funded by the Friends of the Pasadena Public Library, will be mostly finished by Monday.
