Dixie had puppies and was sent to the Animal Shelter. Puppies found homes. Dixie didn't. Hook a floozy up.

September 13, 2022 · A-PASADENA NEWS, Animal Shelter, CITY

She was brought to the shelter as an owner surrender, after just giving birth to three puppies. She and her newborn pups lived here for a couple of weeks until they were lucky enough to get help from an amazing foster.

When they were old enough, her puppies were all adopted; now, we would love for it to be Dixie’s turn.

She’s a sweet girl with a heart as big as her ears.

She loves people and enthusiastically enjoys going for walks (perhaps too enthusiastically at times — her foster mom says she still needs a little work when it comes to leash training 😁).

She’s been good with other dogs she’s met, always bouncing over to say hello and ready to play with them, if they’re up for it, but quickly settling down and giving them space if they’re not.

She is quiet in her kennel and is house-trained. Toys and fetch make her so happy. Cats, however, do not; she would prefer a home without them.

Her time in her current foster home is almost at an end, and we would love for her to find another foster — or her forever — so that she does not have to come back to the shelter.

If you can help, please contact us to set up a time to meet Dixie (A160338).
