Clyde in a Hawaiian shirt probably seems nuts. Out of his kennel he shoots strait to the karaoke stage and turns up Jimmy Buffett. Not even kidding. Go cheer him on shelter opens at 11am.

Choosing Clyde to dress in a Hawaiian shirt would probably seem like a crazy choice if you only knew him from watching him in his kennel. In there, he jumps and barks and pretty much looks like the last guy you'd want to try to maneuver into a somewhat tricky, button-down shirt.

But he's one of those dogs that undergoes a complete transformation once that kennel door swings open. He goes from the loud, jumping, barking, intimidating dog shown in the kennel picture you see to the most gentle, slightly timid guy in the building.

He was even a little shaky at first. We were soothing him and telling him what a good boy he is, and then he was giving kisses all-around. He actually turned out to be the EASIEST dog to get dressed in one of those shirts.

It just goes to show that you really can't judge a dog by their behavior in the kennel. Clyde is the cuddliest, most affectionate, unassuming pup. As you can see, he even ended up getting snuggled and carried like a baby! And he loved every second of it!

He's dog-friendly, smart and, clearly, would do better outside of the shelter environment that is stressing him out. He just needs someone who can look past that shelter persona he puts on to see the real Clyde, hidden just beyond the surface.

If that's you, please come meet two-year-old Clyde (A159558) soon!
