Armand Bayou's Wildlife Wednesday is gators hatching right on time in late August and early September ๐
#WildlifeWednesday Itโs time for Alligator hatchlings! They hatch in late August and early September, and are only 8-10 inches long when they emerge. Before hatching, alligators begin to vocalize, making chirping noises that signal that itโs time to hatch. The mother is nearby and provides help when needed, gently digging the nest apart and carrying the young gators to the water's edge. #wildlifephotography
