Armand Bayou's Mark Kramer used to say, "Restoration is a human act."

June 30, 2022 · A-PASADENA NEWS, CITY, Parks and Recreation

#ThankfulThursday Mark Kramer used to say, "Restoration is a human act." and the act of restoring hundreds of acres of coastal #tallgrassprairie takes a lot of dedicated #volunteers. Thanks to our Prairie Friday team who meet pretty much every Friday🌧 or shine ☀️, we are able to grow 🌱 and install an average of 10,000 native grasses and wildflowers annually! These inspiring volunteers also help engage students and community groups in meaningful service learning projects with plants propagated in our ABNC native plant nursery. Special thanks goes out to Jim Duron, Patty Trimingham, Beth Frohme, Diane Humes, Lisa Hardcastle, Joe Bryan, Gail Gawenis, Bev Morrison, Mike Petit, Ashley Hill, Sherrie Jackson, Mary Culpepper, Jennifer Kelly, Ayden Castillo, Mary Gary, and Chris Mantooth - you logged nearly 150 combined hours in our system for June alone! . You too can become a part of the team. Choose to volunteer today and help to #keepabncwild - https://www.abnc.org/volunteer
