Animal Shelter’s fixing to have Olive’s leg cut off and hims needs a quiet place to recover.
This cutie with the 2 different colored eyes is Olive (A164026) 😍 He is a 7-month-old Lab mix who came in with an injured back leg and needs a leg amputation. We are ready to send him to the vet to have the surgery, but he really needs a foster or adopter, so that he can heal in a quiet, stress-free environment. We will pay for the surgery; he just needs your TLC ❤
Animals with legs amputated adapt really well to the limb loss, so if you're concerned about his quality-of-life post-surgery, you have nothing to worry about! This will actually make his life easier and better because he won't be in pain. He will be just as great a pet as any four-legged dog!
Olive's adoption fee is waived for the Bark Madness event, and in addition to the leg amputation, he will be neutered, receive a rabies vaccine, and have a microchip implanted. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application at https://www.pasadenatx.gov/509/Deciding-to-Adopt. For questions, please email [email protected].
If you're not ready to adopt but would like to foster him during his recovery period, please complete the application at https://www.pasadenatx.gov/FormCenter/Animal-Adoption-and-Foster-Applications-10. For questions, please email [email protected].
