Adopted times are the best times and good ole Roxie found her mans. By the looks of her dog food I doubt Whataburger is in her future.
Roxie has had a long road, but we can finally say the words we’ve been waiting to say for so long: Roxie is home! 🎉
We always say we couldn’t do what we do without all of you, and her story is the perfect example of that.
If you aren’t familiar with Roxie and her story, she was one of our longest-stays. She was actually adopted from us years ago and lived a happy, well-loved life until her owner passed away.
From the very beginning of her time back with us, she stole the hearts of volunteers and staff, who went the extra mile to show this sweet senior love.
Thanks to your shares, she found a wonderful foster family for awhile before coming back to us again.
If you ever stepped into the lobby of the Adoption Center, chances are good that she greeted you, as she considered herself our unofficial welcoming committee. 😁 She was happy to model any costume (hello, baked potato!) or pajamas we came up with and was happy here, but we wanted more for her.
Through an amazing group effort by some staff members, a few incredible volunteers and PETronus Rescue, we got it for her.
Roxie is officially home with her new mom in Washington state. ❤️
Thank you to everyone who made this possible and to everyone who continues to support Roxie and all of the other animals here!
